the varieties of religious experience by william james. i thought, when i finished my thesis, that i would be dying to read some succulent fiction. seems not. seems i am thinking about what next, and it might still involve the 19th century in america, but maybe philosophy? it’s really too soon to tell.
but i will read the next volume of proust this summer.
